I put together a short, 2 minute video to showcase some of my recent works. Over the past year, I have been focusing on creating acrylic paintings by using an impasto method. With impasto, I add a modeling paste medium to my acrylic paints to act as a thickening agent and then apply the paints directly on the canvas with palette knives. I love the unique blends of colors and textural effect that develops from this process. Then, I go in with a brush to clean up the edges and work in details as needed. I finish each painting with a gloss varnish the both protects the piece and highlights the texture. Some of these paintings are still available so please contact me if you have an interest.
