The palette knife if the perfect way to loosen up your work – especially for someone like me who tends to get caught up in the details. As an exercise to get the proverbial stick (or paint brush!) out of my rear end, I did two small palette knife studies of horses. And let me tell you, I had so much fun with this! I loved using slightly unusual colors for the background and for highlights on the actual horses. Matter of fact, I loved these so much that I decided to do larger versions, pictured here.
And both pieces are currently available for purchase in my Etsy Shop – $165 each including the frame. Just click the images for purchasing info. Or, you can see them in person at Zenthropologi in Alpharetta. The 8×10 studies are available for $48/each as well.
