Birds are like little ambassadors for Spring. I always know when it’s just around the corner when I wake up to the birds happily chirping away… followed by the thunderous gallop of Lucy up and down the hallway. Lucy is my 10 pound cat who’s absolute favorite thing to do is dart around from window to window and stalk the birds. Yep, she’s become quite the pro – flinging the curtains and blinds away so that she can maneuver her way into the perfect position. At times, she gets so excited that she even starts making these odd “chirping” noises at the birds! I’ve never seen anything like it!

Inspired by Lucy’s “fine feathered friends”, I thought I would usher in spring with a couple of bird paintings. Hopefully these will serve as a reminder that we only have just a few more weeks of this miserable, cold weather!
